REDWOOD ECE is working with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Organization to become the first private childcare facility in the Fraser Valley to offer the IB Primary Years Program. This IB program is infused throughout Redwood's Curriculum, which focuses on a multidisciplinary approach to learning and skill development. ​ At Redwood ECE, we believe that by the time that your child graduates from our program at age 5, that they will be able to demonstrate the traits, habits and skills of a highly successful kindergartener. It is our role as educators to help them get there. ​ That work begins early, with structured, purposeful skill development starting in our infant program (starting at 10 months of age) and continuing through our toddler and pre-k programs. We believe that every moment counts. That's why our teachers infuse skill development throughout the day, with approximately 25 age-appropriate core skills being emphasized in each classroom. Whether it's developing social skills via structured parallel play, self-regulation via yoga, literacy through story time, public speaking through our Toastmaster inspired REDTalks, fine motor skills and artistic expression through painting, research skill development through science experiments, and many others, our teachers will help students develop these skills, make observations, and provide timely feedback to both students and parents.

To accommodate the busy schedules of working parents, Redwood Early Childhood Education® operates from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM (PST), Monday through Friday. Cameras are installed throughout the school in classrooms, playgrounds, and some common areas. The video is streamed live over the internet and parents have secure, individual usernames and passwords that give them video access to the areas where their children learn and play. They watch video from their desktop computers, or use the WatchMeGrow™ app from their phone or tablet.

No. You must be the approved parent of a currently enrolled child to use the system. To get access, parents of enrolled children sign up for WatchMeGrow™. Administrators at the childcare center approve them before they can have access. If there are out-of-town grandparents or deployed parents who wish to use it, parents can set up additional access for them as sub-users on their accounts. Only families of children in a classroom have access to view that classroom. It is at the center’s discretion which areas users can view, such as the child’s classroom, common areas, and playgrounds

Yes. All data is encrypted. To watch streaming video through WatchMeGrow™, you must be approved by your childcare center. WatchMeGrow™ is the only streaming video service for childcare that provides this level of security.

Answers vary for every individual. Many parents like the comfort of knowing they can see the fun their child is having in their classroom during the day. Some parents set up accounts for out-of-town grandparents to stay connected to little ones in our care. Parents who are deployed as active-duty military for long durations rely on streaming video to follow what their children are doing while away. Others find it helpful to check in on their child during their first day in our care or simply use it to check in when their child is having an “off” day.
